The Gramercy: 10 Reasons To Visit This New Restaurant in Coral Gables

The Gramercy New Restaurant in Coral Gables fron outdoor dining on Miracle Mile

Did you know Tarpon Bend’s location at 65 Miracle Mile has been replaced by a new American Brasserie with swanky decor and delicious food? The Gramercy has opened with a fun, unique vibe serving steaks, burgers, and other American Brasserie favorites done perfectly. This new Coral Gables restaurant also features a sushi bar helmed by Nobu alum Chef Sylvio.

Still haven’t made a reservation? Here are 10 reasons you need to visit:

1. Chef Jared’s Crispy Chicken Sandwich

Experience an amazing fried chicken sandwich that’s crunchy and full of flavor. The Gramercy chicken sandwich is slathered in a sticky dijon honey mustard sauce served on a brioche bun with a side of crispy french fries.

2. Sit with Giant Teddy Bears (If You Want)

The Gramercy invites you to give a little love with a philanthropic twist. The restaurant has teamed up with Lotus House Women’s Shelter for a Bears in Chairs promotion which invites guests to purchase a jumbo sized teddy bear for a loved one, friend or child for $500 a piece. 100% of proceeds will be donated to Lotus House, as The Gramercy supports the mission of Lotus House in improving lives of women, youth and children experiencing homelessness. Plus loved ones will take home a cuddly companion and a beloved piece of The Gramercy’s decor.

3. Their molten lava cake 😍

As any self-described chocolate lover, I appreciate a good molten lava cake. The Gramercy lava cake has a perfect fudgy-brownie texture. Treat yourself to warm, rich, chocolate cake with a gooey middle and vanilla ice cream on the side. It’s a simple but decadent dessert that ends a great lunch or dinner on a sweet note.

4. Fun Art and Instagrammable Locations

By the entrance, you’ll find an elevator and a DJ booth/photo opportunity. The “abandoned” elevator is covered in pink roses and features an infinite mirror art installation. It’s not that easy to take a photo in the red glow from their “Heartbreak Hotel” neon sign nearby, but when you get a good shot, you’ll want to share it all over your social media channels. By the time you’re done taking pictures, your table will be ready for you.

5. Beautiful Outdoor Seating with Pink, Rotary phones at Every Table

Do you enjoy dining outdoors? The Gramercy has two different outdoor patios to choose from. The back patio is shaded, features pink curtains and pink rotary telephones on every table. The phones don’t work, they are just props; but you’ll have fun playing with it as you wait for your food to arrive. That small detail and pop of color really adds a je nai se quois to your experience.

6. “The Gram” Burger Made with Wagyu beef

Order “The Gram” Burger made with Wagyu beef, caramelized onions, butter lettuce, and mustard aioli, on a brioche bun with your choice of Gruyere cheese or Maytag Blue cheese. This massive burger is so tall it’s difficult cut through all the layers in one bite; but that’s a good problem to have. Vegetarians can ask for an Impossible meat patty substitution.

7. Sushi bar helmed by Nobu alum Chef Sylvio

Don’t miss creative maki rolls like the “The Gram” Roll made with Hamachi, Salmon, Tuna, Avocado, topped with Crab, masago and scallions, creamy jalapeño sauce; The “Aburi” Salmon Avocado Roll made with torched salmon, avocado, yuzu lemon topped with bonito flakes; and The Wagyu “Surf and Turf” Roll made with sliced Wagyu, lobster, avocado, cucumber, Serrano pepper and dressed with a special sauce is a must-order.

8.The Gramercy Creme Brûlée

It’s hard to find a good quality version of this simple but elegant dessert. Many restaurants over cook their creme brûlée leaving it curdled and grainy – not at The Gramercy. Their rich custard topped with a layer of hardened caramelized sugar is creamy, silky and smooth with a brittle top that cracks when you gently tap it with a spoon. Each irresistible bite is a decadent taste of sweet, rich, buttery vanilla.

9. $24 Prix Fix Lunch

The Gramercy launched a weekday $24 prix fixe express lunch of  all the favorites plus a complimentary glass of Champagne. Visit Monday through Friday from 11:30am – 5pm to enjoy this special menu. The $24 lunch menu invites diners to choose from Chefs seasonal soup of the week as well as choice of two sushi rolls – like Spicy Bluefin Tuna, Spicy Tuna Roll, “Aburi” Salmon Avocado Roll, and fan favorite “The Gram” Roll,  or one of The Gramercy’s sandwiches or burgers like  “The Gram” Burger, French Dip, Turkey Club, or Chef Jared’s Crispy Chicken sandwich. You also get to toast lunch with a glass of champagne. Cheers!
