Welcome to Coral Gables Love! I am so happy to have you here to share what we like most about the city of Coral Gables. As this site grows I am hoping to create a community that shares a love for this city. I want this site to be a place where anyone can go to find new adventures to go on, whether they are of the eating, sporting, reading, listening, viewing, dancing, or shopping variety. As a small business owner, I make an effort to support small businesses. What I love about Coral Gables is that we have so many of them! I will be meeting the hard working people behind these businesses and telling their stories.

Paola Mendez is a hypnotherapist, published author, and the curious soul behind Coral Gables Love and The Blogger Union. Her journey didn't start in a clinician's office — it started at age 15, battling a mind that used food to quiet a constant internal critic. After two decades at war with her own subconscious, searching for peace as a self-described "introvert in a loud world," Paola found her way out through hypnotherapy. That same journey pushed her out into the city she loves, discovering the gems hiding in plain sight all around Coral Gables.
Today, she channels both passions into everything she does: helping people quiet their inner critic through her hypnotherapy practice Pao Hypnosis, sharing those subconscious healing tools through her app Mochi Zen, and showcasing the people, places, and flavors that make South Florida worth savoring — one matcha latte at a time.
