Fashion Friday: Wear Tweed & Wool For Fall Events

Fashion-Friday-Pipeline-Opening-Peplum-Dress
I’ve always heard that tweed and wool are THE fabrics to wear during fall weather; but should you wear them in tropical South Florida? There are many ways to wear a fall outfit during our warmer November days and I just met two people pulling it off perfectly. We met at a Coral Gables event. It was a grand opening and you could see all types of fashion in the room, a typical scenario in Miami. Yet, Brian and Kathy stood out in the crowd with their stylish fall ensembles.

Our first local fashionista, Brian, was wearing a perfectly fitted tweed jacket with a checked shirt, a plaid pocket square, black pants, and suede shoes. This outfit is posh from head to toe and deserves to be worn in the streets of London. My hat goes off to Brian and his fantastic sense of style. To shop Brian’s style use the linked gallery below.

Katherine is wearing an adorable pencil dress with peplum waist accents. She accessorized her outfit with a statement necklace and pointed heels. Katherine added a hint of color to her dark gray outfit with her cobalt blue pumps. Her look reminds me of Kate Middleton’s peplum outfits.

So yes, definitely wear tweed and wool in South Florida. You will look classy in a sea of mixed tropical styles.

Paola Mendez is a hypnotherapist, published author, and the curious soul behind Coral Gables Love and The Blogger Union. Her journey didn't start in a clinician's office — it started at age 15, battling a mind that used food to quiet a constant internal critic. After two decades at war with her own subconscious, searching for peace as a self-described "introvert in a loud world," Paola found her way out through hypnotherapy. That same journey pushed her out into the city she loves, discovering the gems hiding in plain sight all around Coral Gables. Today, she channels both passions into everything she does: helping people quiet their inner critic through her hypnotherapy practice Pao Hypnosis, sharing those subconscious healing tools through her app Mochi Zen, and showcasing the people, places, and flavors that make South Florida worth savoring — one matcha latte at a time.
