The South Beach Seafood Festival 2017 is upon us, meaning Miami’s stone crab season is about to get started! The 5th Annual South Beach Seafood Week will take place October 17th through October 21st.
The South Beach Seafood Festival is a week of showcasing South Florida’ s leading chefs and culinary masterminds via a diverse group of events, ending with a bang at Saturday’ s beachfront event. The South Beach Seafood Festival Saturday event spans four blocks and welcomes over 13,000 seafoodies to enjoy a day of fun in the sun in the Sobe Chic way. This year’s South Beach Seafood Festival entrance will be at 14th and Ocean Drive. Guests will enjoy a day with their toes in the sand at #sobeseafood fest which spans all the way from 10th and Ocean to 14th and Ocean!

General Admission Tickets: General admission starts at $45; this low price gives guests the opportunity to pick and choose which delicious restaurants to try – all of which are bringing their premium menu items at affordable prices between $5 – $10. The Main Stage will be jamming all day long with live music from South Florida’s best bands, so you can dance the day away. Tickets will include $20 worth of food vouchers to use at participating festival restaurants, premiere sampling, private bars, entrance into GOYA’s Culinary Pavilion featuring all day private DJs, shade, lounges, MYO Bars from Jack Daniels, Herradura, and Finlandia, VIP swag, and the fun doesn’t stop there.
In the VIP Hospitality Village, the upgraded experience will include sampling from GOYA, Celebrity Cruises, and Papa’s Raw Bar, while Jack Daniel’s will host a one of a kind “Jack Den” featuring unique tastings throughout the day.
Event host, Kendall Jackson and La Crema, will have a one-of-a-kind sensory garden inspired by their famed “Farmer T”, where they will be transplanting their Sonoma garden tour onto the sand where guests can literally walk through a private experience sampling potted fruits and tasting the wines that are made from these fruits.
The additional VIP benefit for 2016 will be the extended hours keeping the party going into the night. The festival grounds will close at 7pm, but the GOYA Culinary Pavilion inside VIP Hospitality Village with the featured DJs and bars will stay open until 11PM, so guests can dance the night away.

The Chef Showdown assembles Miami’s top executive chefs for an evening of competitive cook-offs where YOU are the judge. In a perfect combination of competition level cuisine, tropically fresh cocktails, and live entertainment, the Chef Showdown tours guests through the best of Miami’s culinary scene, featuring 14 of Miami’s most progressive and recognized Executive Chefs. This is a canNOT miss experience for all.
Hosted inside the VIP Hospitality Village and the Sobe Seafood Fest’s GOYA Culinary Pavilion, 14 chefs will be paired head to head creating seven different seafood battle showdowns. Chefs from each battle will take the stage throughout the night in the showcase kitchen, where representatives from the culinary and media world will judge the best in each showdown.
The deciding factor are THE GUESTS! Guests will visit each restaurant sampling station in the battle tents around the hospitality village and with their tokens in hand, sample the dishes demonstrated on the main stage, and vote to ultimately decide the newest CHAMPIONS of the CHEF SHOWDOWN.
The reigning champions coming to defend their titles are Chef Andre & Tyler Bienvenue of Joe’s Stone Crab in Battle Lobster, Sean Brasel of Meat Market in Battle Surf ‘N Turf, Chef Dustin Atoigue of Mondrian South Beach in Battle Shrimp, Chef Eric Do of Toro Toro in Battle Tuna, and Chef Bernie Matz of Bodega South Beach in Battle Taco and Chef Demetrios Pyliotis of Poseidon in Battle Fish. This year’s newest Battle Sushi will introduce two new challengers!
