The most eagerly anticipated film of the summer, as it is meant to be seen, in 70mm: Christopher Nolan's DUNKIRK opens Friday, July 21 at the Gables Cinema! In May 1940, Germany advanced into France, trapping Allied troops on the beaches of Dunkirk. Under air and ground cover from British and French forces, troops were slowly and methodically evacuated from the beach using every serviceable naval and civilian vessel that could be found. At the end of this heroic mission, 330,000 French, British, Belgian and Dutch soldiers were safely evacuated. Christopher Nolan's film of the Battle of Dunkirk is, hands down, the most eagerly anticipated film of the summer. ---------------------- Tickets can be purchased in advance on our website here: https://goo.gl/WygfVF Follow us here on Facebook, Twitter (www.twitter.com/gablescinema), Instagram (www.instagram.com/gables_cinema) and sign up to receive our weekly cinema E-newsletter (http://eepurl.com/ccZRVf) and stay up-to-date on all our upcoming films & special events!
