Happy Friday, October 13th! It’s a spooky time of the year. We have some amazing and scary events to celebrate Halloween in Miami. Keep reading to plan your creepy Halloween festivities and get your costumes in order!

October 13 Deering Estate Spookover

Experience the Deering Estate overnight when the LIGHTS ARE OUT!!! A group of volunteer Paranormal Investigators will take guests to the most active locations on the Estate where you can investigate and attempt communication with the spirits that roam in the historic houses and main grounds.

Equipment used to detect spectral presences – such as pendulums, dowsing rods, EMF meters, voice recorders and cameras are welcome!

This is not a sleepover, we investigate all night, dress comfortably (closed toes shoes, long pants, comfortable shirt), bring your own flashlight, mosquito repellant and any equipment you wish to use.

Light snacks and refreshments are served. Tour may contain mature subject matter.

Family Halloween

October 15 – Not So Scary Family Halloween Bash at Miami Children’s Museum

The best family friendly Halloween event & Haunted House in town!

Wear your best costume to trick-or-treat throughout the galleries, experience Miami’s best family friendly Haunted House & enjoy special activities including:

  • Pumpkin decorating
  • Sugar Skull decorating with Blick Art Materials Miami
  • Toddler Room with Halloween themed sensory activities, music, story, & block play
  • Light play room with shadow puppets, black light painting, rope lights, and more!
  • Halloween art & maker space to create light up monsters, jewelry & art

Deering Estate Spook Over

October 19 & October 26- Deering Estate Historic Ghost Tour

Step into the past, as you listen to the stories of the Deering Estate’s previous inhabitants and paranormal visitors. Hear about sightings and experiences from actual paranormal investigations of the historic Deering Estate.

You will walk the paths of Native Americans, Miami’s early pioneers, and even Charles Deering himself!

This tour includes walking around the historic homes at night. Please dress comfortably – closed toe shoes, bring your own flashlight, and mosquito repellant is recommended.

Biltmore Halloween 2017

October 27 – Halloween at The Biltmore

Join us for another electrifying night filled with illusions and indulgence at the annual Biltmore Halloween Party! Take part in our costume contest with great prizes for most creative (must be handmade), spookiest and best couple. Must be 21+ to attend.
Open Bar, Buffet dinner and entertainment included.

Viszcaya Halloween Sundowner

October 28 – Vizcaya Sundowner Halloween Party

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens hosts the 31st Annual Halloween Sundowner, one of Miami’s most iconic events attracting 1,000 guests each Halloween. The all-inclusive party takes place on Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight, and benefits the continued preservation of Vizcaya, a National Historic Landmark. Wynwood Halloween Fear Factory

October 28 – Wynwood Fear Factory

The largest music & Halloween-themed festival in the Southeast region just got larger. Presented by DiskoLab, WYNWOOD FEAR FACTORY reveals a major lineup for its second Halloween haunting Miami, FL. Possessing the ominous RC Cola Plant October 28 & 29, the stage will play host to a bevy of A-list superstars and special guests exclusively for Florida this season. It’s an eclectic group of talent who rarely pass through South Florida coming together under one roof.

Pinecrest Gardens Howl a ween

October 29 – 7th Annual Howl-O-Ween at Pinecrest Gardens

Thousands of people with their pooches will parade through Pinecrest Gardens’ lush landscape once again in search of tricks and treats.

There’s something for everyone – beer, wine, food, costume contests, games, trick-or-treating, pumpkin patch portraits, and more… all benefiting the homeless pets we save from euthanasia. Visit the Facebook event for more information.

October 31 – Coral Gables Museum Doggy Costume Contest

Bring your pooch to the Museum Plaza to strut down our “catwalk” in their costume for a chance to win a prize! Whether you have a terrific pup costume idea or you just want to witness the spectacle that is this annual tradition, all are invited to attend this public event. The Museum will offer a cash bar for the handlers, and free kibble for the models.

There is a $5 registration fee per doggy to benefit the Humane Society. You may register on site prior to the event.

October 31 – Haunted House: Nightmare at 405 by City of Coral Gables
